Latest odds and betting for the 2000 Guineas

After final declarations for the colts’ Classic at Newmarket on Saturday, the Aidan O’Brien-trained pair of Magna Grecia and Ten Sovereigns have been installed as joint-favourites by our traders.

Magna Grecia has long been the front runner for the meet at 7/2, with Ten Sovereigns close by at 9/2. But with the announcement that Ryan Moore will be on board Ten Sovereigns and Donnacha O’Brien will be jockeying Magna Grecia, they’ve been installed as joint-favourites at 4/1.

Madhmoon and Skardu are still among the front-runners too, and their price has stayed consistent at 7s in the build up to the 2000 Guineas.

Advertise and Royal Marine are a touch further out in the running at 8s and 9s respectively.

“Ten Sovereigns had been easy to back in recent days, with Magna Grecia taking over clear favouritism, but the decision to put Ryan Moore on board the former means we can’t split the Ballydoyle pair at the head of the betting now, and will let punters decide which colt will be sent off favourite on Saturday,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
