Premier League Betting Tips: Vital wins for Burnley and Arsenal on the way?

Odds and preview for this weekend’s top-flight action

We’ve got a streamlined Premier League schedule this weekend, with the FA Cup semi-finals taking centre-stage.

But there’s still plenty at stake in the four top-flight matches, with crucial points available in the relegation battle and the race for the top four.

We’ve previewed all of the action, starting at St James’ Park…

Newcastle United v Crystal Palace (3:00pm Saturday)

The last two games between these sides have ended level, but Newcastle will be confident of taking the points this time.

They’ve won five home games on the spin in league action, including a 2-1 victory over Manchester City. The Magpies are 6/4 to keep the run going against an inconsistent Palace team.

The hosts have won this fixture 1-0 in each of the last two seasons. We go 6/1 for the hat-trick.

Salomon Rondon is the big threat for Newcastle. He’s 7/2 to open the scoring, with Miguel Almiron 7/2 to open his account for the club.

Palace will be looking to Michy Batshuayi at 12/5 anytime.

Huddersfield Town v Leicester City (3:00pm Saturday)

Brendan Rodgers has made a bright start as Leicester boss and his side are 7/10 favourites here.

Huddersfield have already been relegated and are out at 4/1, with just pride to play for.

The Terriers’ big problem has been a lack of goals. They’ve only scored 18 in 32 games. Our traders have 9/5 on an away win to nil.

Rodgers’ arrival has seemed to bring the best out of Jamie Vardy. The Foxes hero has four in four under the former Celtic boss. He’s 10/11 to score anytime or 4/1 for two or more.

Bournemouth v Burnley (3:00pm Saturday)

Burnley’s win over Wolves last week gives them a five-point safety net above the drop zone. And they could climb further away against a Bournemouth side with one win in eight.

The hosts are 11/10 favourites. But they’re safe in mid-table, the Clarets have more to play for. We go 5/2 for an away win, or 12/5 for the draw.

After bagging a brace in Burnley’s 4-0 win over the Cherries earlier in the season, Ashley Barnes is 7/4 to net here.

Everton v Arsenal (2:05pm Sunday, Sky Sports Premier League)

Arsenal could lift themselves into third, two points clear of their top-four rivals, with a fifth-consecutive win over Everton at 5/4.

But the Gunners’ away record has been an issue all season. Five of their six league losses have come on the road – Everton will fancy a scalp at 2/1.

Unai Emery’s side look to be tightening up at the back, with three clean sheets in a row. Another win to nil is going for 18/5.

At the other end, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 7/2 to score first, with his pal Alexandre Lacazette 7/4 to net anytime.

Richarlison is Everton’s likeliest scorer at 15/8. Dominic Calvert-Lewin also poses a threat at 21/10.
