Betting preview and odds for Premier League clash

The late game tonight comes from Old Trafford as Manchester United and West Ham lock horns.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men are in a tight battle for a top-four place, with nothing less than a win the order of the day for United.

West Ham have had a topsy-turvy campaign, but have taken four points off today’s opponents in their last two meetings.

You can tune into the action at 5:30pm on BT Sport 1, but first we take a look at all the odds and preview this classic Premier League tussle.

Manchester United dominated this fixture in the Sir Alex Ferguson era, but since his retirement in 2013, West Ham have often had their number.

The Hammers won the reverse fixture 3-1 at the London Stadium in September, and picked up a plucky draw in London last season too.

United did dish out three hammerings on the spin, including a 4-0 win in August 2017 with Romelu Lukaku bagging a brace on his league debut for the club.

Likely XIs

united v west ham lineup

Man United: De Gea; Dalot, Smalling, Lindelof, Rojo; Fred, Pereira, Pogba; Lingard, Martial, Rashford

West Ham: Fabianski; Fredericks, Balbuena, Diop, Cresswell; Rice, Noble; Snodgrass, Felipe Anderson, Arnautovic; Hernandez

Marcos Rojo may make a rare appearance at full-back with both Ashley Young and Luke Shaw suspended.

He feels like the forgotten man at times, but the Argentinian could come back into defence with Diogo Dalot reverting to right back.

Alexis Sanchez should be in contention for selection for this one, but Nemanja Matic and Ander Herera’s availability is currently touch and go.

West Ham could field former United man Javier Hernandez up front, with Fabian Balbuena an option to step back into defence.

Key Battles

Solskjaer may rest one of his midfield trio with the Champions League return leg against Barcelona in mind.

This may give West Ham a glimmer of hope if Declan Rice and Mark Noble can get a foothold in the game and start dictating play.

The home side’s pace will always be a threat.  If it does end up being a trio of Jesse Lingard, Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford then it could be a long evening for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.

Marko Arnautovic has only scored three league goals since the start of the year, but the fans will desperate for the Austrian to rediscover his emphatic touch tonight.

Match Odds

Man United may have lost four of their last five games, but have only lost one game at home all season.

We go 2/5 for a home win here, with a draw at 19/5.

United scored four in their last meeting at Old Trafford, so our traders have gone 19/10 for Solskjaer’s side to win with Over 3.5 Goals in the match.

Martial could start and he’s 3/1 to net the opener, with Paul Pogba at 11/8 anytime.

The Irons may have a sniff if they score early, it’s 13/2 for the away side to be leading after 30 minutes.

Felipe Anderson could have a huge impact on this one, the Brazilian to notch 2 or more at 33/1 could be too long to ignore.
