Following the Grand National at Aintree, where favourite Tiger Roll cantered to an expected victory, the race to win the Scottish Grand National is wide open.

Dingo Dollar and Big River lead the betting by a head at 8/1, but Beware the Bear sits a shade out at 9s to claim the win in Ayr.

Crosshue Boy and Vintage Clouds have seen backing too out at 10s for a famous win, but rank outsiders Chidswell (20/1) and Kingwell Theatre (50/1) are showing the form to run to a surprise win.

In the CMPS Scottish Champion Hurdle, Nube Negra is the early favourite to ride to a win at 5/1, with Mister Fisher close in the running at 6/1. Leoncavallo, Redicean, Malaya and Verdana Blue could be a good outside shot at 8/1.

“Unlike last weekend’s Grand National market, which was dominated in the build-up by one horse, the betting for this year’s Coral Scottish Grand National is wide open, and any one of the first six or seven in the list could be sent off favourite for what is always one of the highest turnover betting races of the year,” said Coral’s David Stevens.
