Tottenham Hotspur were still in the Premier League title race a week ago. Now they need three points against rivals Arsenal to maintain their grip on the top-four.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are just four points ahead of the Gunners following back-to-back defeats against Burnley and Chelsea. Defeat at Wembley will not only see Unai Emery’s men close up on the Lilywhites, but potentially Manchester United too.

Head-to-Head
Historically, Arsenal boast the better head-to-head record. But it’s not been so easy for the Gunners in recent years. The red side of North London have triumphed just twice in the last eight meetings between the two clubs.
However, that does include a 4-2 success earlier in the season, when goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Lucas Torreira and a Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang double won all three points.
Spurs exacted revenge with a 2-0 success in the Carabao Cup in December. Pochettino’s men are also unbeaten in their last four home North London Derbies in the Premier League.
Likely XIs
Harry Kane returned for the hosts against Burnley and Chelsea. He’ll lead the line alongside Son Heung-min, with Christian Eriksen sitting just behind.
Kieran Trippier’s poor performance at Stamford Bridge should allow in Serge Aurier, while Danny Rose will take the left wing-back spot in a 3-4-1-2 formation.
Emery has alternated between Lacazette and Aubameyang in recent weeks. He could start both at Wembley. That would mean five in midfield, with the untrusted Mesut Ozil replaced by the battle-hardened Granit Xhaka.
He could be joined by Aaron Ramsey and Torreira, the latter of whom enjoyed his standout match in an Arsenal shirt in the reverse fixture last December.
Key Battles
Uruguayan ace Torreira was the driving force behind Arsenal’s 4-2 win at the Emirates earlier in the season. He’ll be key again here, alongside Swiss warrior Xhaka, in shutting down Eriksen.
Ultimately this match could come down to two things. Can the Gunners stop Kane, as they’ve failed to do in all bar one of his Premier League matches against them?
And if they can, then can they capitalise and catch Tottenham on the break? Exposing the host’s marauding wing-backs using the technical ability of Ramsey and pace of Ainsley Maitland-Niles will be key to that.
Match Odds
Tottenham may have lost two on the bounce but they’re 21/20 favourites to win this one. The Gunners are further back at 12/5, with the Draw available at 13/5.
There’s only one place to look in the goalscorer market – Kane. He’s bagged in all bar one of his Premier League matches against Arsenal, and is 21/20 to continue that trend here. He’s 5/1 for his second brace against them in the top-flight.
Aubameyang netted in the reverse fixture and is 13/8 Anytime, ahead of Lacazette at 2/1. Both sides play an brand of open, attacking football. That should lend itself to Both Teams to Score at 8/15, and potentially Spurs to Win and Both Teams to Score at 5/2.
