Odds for this weekend’s action in Italy

All eyes are on the San Siro this weekend for the Derby della Madonnina. AC Milan are just a point above their neighbours in third. A win for either side could be a turning point in the top four race.

Elsewhere, Juventus look to maintain their unbeaten record after a stunning European win in midweek, while there could be plenty of drama towards the bottom of the table.

But there’s only one place to start this weekend’s preview…

AC Milan v Inter Milan (Sunday 7:30pm, Premier 1)

Milan have the momentum coming into this clash. Juventus are the only side that have beaten them since the winter break. It’s not looking so rosy for Inter, who’ve only won one of their last four away games in league action.

With that in mind, our traders have Milan as 6/4 favourites. A 1-0 reverse of Inter’s win in October is going for 13/2.

Krzysztof Piatek has six goals in six Serie A starts since joining the Rossoneri. He’s 3/1 to get the first goal here, or 13/10 anytime. With Mauro Icardi still out of the picture, Lautaro Martinez is Inter’s best goalscoring hope at 9/4.

Genoa v Juventus (Sunday 11:30am, Premier 1)

With the title almost certainly wrapped up for an eighth consecutive year, Juventus are still on for an unbeaten campaign.

They’ve only drawn three of their 27 games so far. But one of those setbacks was at home to Genoa. Fresh off their European heroics, they’re 8/15 to triumph here, while the hosts are 29/20 to get something in the Double Chance.

Paulo Dybala will have been disappointed to have been left out of the starting XI against Atletico. He’s 2/1 to score. Star man Cristiano Ronaldo is 5/6 to score yet another goal.

Empoli v Frosinone (Sunday  2:00pm)

Towards the other end of the table, Empoli’s scrap with Frosinone could have a major bearing on the relegation battle.

Empoli are two points clear of the drop zone and five clear of 19th-placed Frosinone. But the hosts would be dragged right into the mix if the visitors leave with the points.

With so much at stake, neither side will want to risk defeat. The draw is a 13/5 shot, with 4/5 about Under 2.5 Goals.
