Who are the Czech Republic’s danger men?

England take on Czech Republic on Friday night in their Euro 2020 qualifying opener.

Whilst Gareth Southgate could blood a clutch of youngsters in this international break, the Czech’s will hope to cause an upset at Wembley.

They do have a number of handy players that could cause the Three Lions some problems. So we take you through a trio that will be worth keeping an eye on.

Patrik Schick

The young striker arrived at Roma with a fledgling reputation, but has had to play second fiddle to Edin Dzeko.

His international career is going a little better, striking five goals in 14 appearances for his nation.

Schick has started the last three games as the number nine, including bagging the only goal in the win over Slovenia last November.

He’s 5/1 to strike anytime, whether England play three or four at the back could prove crucial in taming the rangy forward.

Matej Vydra

The Burnley striker could play on the right of midfield at Wembley or as part of attacking trio behind the lone front man.

Vydra’s endeavour is second to none and he could be the perfect foil for Schick upfront.

One of the most feared striker’s at Championship level, the 26-year-old will hope he can get more opportunities in the Premier League this season.

However, he’s known for his lively, never-say-die attitude and has a knack of being in the right place at the right time.

One slip from England’s defence and Vydra could punish them.

Theodor Gebre Selassie

Sampdoria’s Jakub Jankto is worth a shout here, but looking at the Czech’s defence it’s the evergreen Gebre Selassie that pips him in our list.

The 32-year-old is a veteran of the team and is looking to make it a hat-trick of European Championship appearances after playing in Euro 2012 and Euro 2016.

He’s been plying his trade at Werder Bremen since 2012 and could be a big problem rampaging down the left wing from full-back.

In the match betting England are 2/7 to win the game, but could the Czech’s bag their first ever victory over the Three Lions at 12/1?
