Odds and preview ahead of Champions League tie

The Champions League takes centre-stage tonight and things could get very interesting in Turin.

Atletico Madrid bagged a 2-0 win in the first leg and with the final at their home ground; they will have extra motivation to make the last-eight.

But Juve have a trump card in their pack in the form of Cristiano Ronaldo –if the main man can get going then Atleti could be in for a long night.

We have all the key info and odds before the match kicks off on BT Sport 3 from 8:00pm.

Head-to-Head

Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin plundered the goals as the Spaniard’s robbed the first-leg advantage.

All the talk was over the home side’s dogged defence – so it was ironic to see both centre back’s come up with the goals in Madrid.

The pair met in the 2014/15 Champions League group-stage with Arda Turan bagging the only goal in both matches.

After the 1-0 win in the Spanish capital, they played out a 0-0 stalemate at Juventus Stadium.

Likely XIs

Juve look set to be without Sami Khedira as well as wing wizards Juan Cuadrado and Douglas Costa.

Alex Sandro is suspended, so the Old Lady will be hoping Mattia De Sciglio will be available.

Ronaldo was rested over the weekend, so Max Allegri could go 4-2-2 diamond with Joao Cancelo at full-back and Paulo Dybala in behind Mario Mandzukic and Ronaldo.

Diego Costa and Thomas Partey are both suspended for the away side.

Costa’s absence should see Alvaro Morata line-up against his former team.

Atleti will also be sweating on Godin’s fitness – so Stefan Savic and Lucas Hernandez will be on standby.

Key Battles

Ronaldo has come up clutch countless times through the years, and he will have to do so again tonight.

But he will likely have to get the better of the stubborn duo of Godin and Gimenez.

Morata will be keen to bag a goal over his former charges and leave Juve needing at least four goals to advance.

The midfield battle could go a long way to deciding this one. Koke, Rodri and Saul Niguez has a youthful look, but is well drilled under Diego Simeone.

But Juve’s Miralem Pjanic could be a match-winner later.

Match Odds

Juve are Evens to bag the 2+ goals they will need to stand any chance of making it to the last-eight.

In the outright odds the Turin club are 7/1 to win and 3/1 to qualify. Their opponents are 19/4 to win away and 2/9 to progress into the latter stages of the competition.

Atleti have only conceded one goal or less in ten of their last thirteen Champions League away games.

If you reckon Simeone’s men will stand firm again, it’s 15/2 for them to win to nil.

In the goalscoring markets, Ronaldo is Evens anytime and 9/2 to bang 2+ goals.

Morata to notch is 3/1 anytime, with team-mate Antoine Griezmann at 14/5 to bag at any point in the game.
