Euro 2020 Qualifier Betting Tips: Back-to-back wins for Spain, Italy and Ireland?
Odds and preview for Tuesday’s qualifying action
We’re in for the last batch of Euro 2020 qualifiers during this international break tonight, with eight games left to enjoy.
Spain, Italy and Ireland are among the sides in action, as we preview the best of the action, starting in Malta…
Malta v Spain (7:45pm Sky Sports Football)
A new-look Spain squad made hard work of beating Norway at home on Saturday. But they shouldn’t have too much trouble against a side ranked 182 in the world. We make them huge 1/40 favourites, with Spain to be leading at the interval and full-time at 1/5.
Rodrigo Moreno got the opening goal against Norway. He’s 12/5 to do it again here or 4/7 to outscore the opposition.
And with Spain likely to be camped in the Malta half, they’re likely to rack up the corner count. Sergio Ramos always carries a goal threat in the opposition box. He’s 15/8 to score his sixth goal in his last seven international appearances.
Ireland v Georgia (7:45pm Sky Sports Main Event)
Mick McCarthy will be looking for a more convincing display from his side than he saw in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Gibraltar. We’ve got them at 7/10 to make it two wins from two.
But goals have been at a premium in games involving the Green Army lately. Three of their last five outings have ended 0-0. We go 4/1 for a 1-0 home win.
Georgia haven’t enjoyed their recent visits to Ireland. They haven’t scored in any of their last three trips, conceding six goals in the process. There’s 11/8 about another Ireland win to nil.
James Collins and Sean Maguire both head up the goalscorer markets at 7/2 to score first and 7/4 anytime apiece.
Italy v Liechtenstein (7:45pm Sky Sports Red Button)
After opening their qualifying campaign with a 2-0 win over Finland, Italy are a barely believable 1/150 to beat Liechtenstein tonight.
With a huge gulf in quality between the two sides, the Azzurri are 5/4 to be leading after 15 minutes.
Ciro Immobile and Fabio Quagliarella are both 1/5 to get on the scoresheet. And young Juventus winger Moise Kean is 8/13 to net for the second international game running.
Switzerland v Denmark (7:45pm Sky Sports Red Button)
Xherdan Shaqiri and Fabian Schar have both been ruled out of this one for the hosts. They’re still 5/4 favourites, but Denmark aren’t far behind at 5/2. Three points here for either side could prove vital to sealing automatic qualification.
Both teams have scored in the previous two meetings between these teams. Our traders have BTTS at 21/20 this time around.
Christian Eriksen will be key for the Danes. The playmaker is 10/3 to score, with Mario Gavranovic the Swiss danger man at 21/10 anytime.
