Ole Gunnar get it?

Manchester United may have one foot out of the Champions League but our traders still reckon Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will get the manager’s job full-time.

The Red Devils lost 2-0 to Paris-Saint Germain last night but are Evens to grab a top-four place in the Premier League.

Solskjaer has guided his charges to 10 wins out of 12 since his arrival in December 2018 and is the 1/3 favourite to be United manager on opening day of next season.

His nearest challengers to the throne seem to be Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino at 9/2 and former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane at 9/1.

“Solskjaer’s first defeat last night hasn’t done his long-term prospects too much harm in our eyes. We still make him the heavy favourite to be in the dugout for their first Premier League game of the 2019/20 season,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

A key consideration for the Old Trafford will be whether Solskjaer does secure Champions League football for next season.

Aitkenhead added: “If he can steer United into the top four he will have done a brilliant job and we now make them shorter odds than both Chelsea and Arsenal to do just that.

They’re evens now to secure a Champions League spot and it’s a remarkable turnaround from the 10/1 they were when he took over from Jose Mourinho.”

Man United’s next Premier League game is a week on Sunday when they host fierce rivals Liverpool.

Solskjaer could make a huge step to securing the job on a permanent basis with a win at 19/10.
