Tips and preview for the day’s Prem clashes

Premier League football is back on the calendar this weekend, and Saturday marks a big day at both ends of the table.

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to put the pressure on the top two with a result at Turf Moor.

Meanwhile, three of the bottom six are in action – with improving Newcastle United looking to continue their climb up the table against hapless Huddersfield Town.

Ahead of the day’s four top-flight tussles, we’ve got tips and mini-previews on it all…

Newcastle United v Huddersfield Town

The Magpies are chasing a third straight home win in the Premier League, and could hardly have an easier-looking fixture.

Huddersfield have picked up one point since the end of November, and scored just twice in their last eight games.

We go 4/5 for a Newcastle victory, while Rafa Benitez’s men are 13/8 to Win to Nil for the third successive meeting with the Terriers.

Salomon Rondon bagged the winner in the last meeting, and is the hosts’ top scorer this term with seven. The Venezuelan is 6/5 to Score Anytime, while it’s 3/1 he breaks the deadlock.

Burnley v Tottenham Hotspur

All the signs point to this being a good-quality game. Burnley are unbeaten in seven Prem games, while Spurs have won their last four in all competitions.

Having seen off Borussia Dortmund with a swashbuckling 3-0 win last week, the visitors should just about edge this one. But they’re unlikely to get an easy ride.

A Spurs victory is 4/6, but it took Mauricio Pochettino’s men until the 91st minute to find a winner last time the teams met. We make it 17/5 for HT/FT: Draw/Tottenham.

The odds have Son Heung-min at 21/20 to score for a fourth game on the spin. Meanwhile, Peter Crouch is 11/4 to bag a first Clarets goal against his former club.

AFC Bournemouth v Wolverhampton Wanderers

Bournemouth’s home and away form really is night and day. They’ve managed 24 points at the Vitality Stadium and just nine on their travels.

Visitors Wolves are in strong form at present. They’ve won five of the last seven in all competitions, drawing twice.

We go 10/3 for honours-even in this clash. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side love a 1-1 scoreline. They’ve already had five of them in the Prem this season, and another 1-1 draw here is available at 5/1.

Cherries’ ace Josh King grabbed a brace against Chelsea in their last game, including getting the opener. We make him 9/2 to be First Goalscorer here.

Leicester City v Crystal Palace

Chances are this won’t be a thriller. These are two of the Premier League’s bottom four sides when it comes to average goals per game. 17 of Palace’s 26 outings have seen two goals or fewer netted.

Ahead of kick-off, it’s 8/13 for Under 2.5 Goals, while Both Teams to Score – No is 17/20.

While Leicester are just above them in the table, it’s Palace in the better form. They’re unbeaten in five in all competitions, and could nick a narrow win here. The odds have a Palace victory at 5/2.
