Leicester‘s odds shifting for top seven finish
Can new boss Brendan Rodgers galvanise the Foxes?
There’s been a massive shake up at Leicester City since their 4-1 home loss to Crystal Palace last weekend.
Claude Puel was fired on Monday and in his place is former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
This shift in such a short period of time has our traders pricing up the new-look Leicester at 5/2 to get a top seven place.
Rodgers worked wonders at Liverpool and with the Foxes just five points behind current seventh-placed Watford – it could be on.
The former Premier League champions are odds on 5/6 for a top ten finish.
“Rodgers has promised that special things are on the horizon for Leicester. But the first step will be targeting a seventh place finish in order to give them hope of qualifying for Europe next season.
We make them 5-2 to do just that and with just five points between them and Watford they’ve certainly got a strong chance,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
If you fancy an outside shot, then our traders have priced up 500/1 for Leicester to win the Premier League next season.
They were at long odds back in 2015 too and they went on to win the thing!
Aitkenhead added: “Leicester were 5000/1 when they won the league in 2016 and the odds certainly won’t be as big again in the near future for the Foxes.
They are 500/1 to win it next season and Rodgers would certainly enjoy that after his agonising near miss with Liverpool.”
