James DeGale and Chris Eubank Jr have been embroiled in a war of words a while, but it’s time for both fighters to let their fists do the talking.
The IBO Super-Middleweight title is up for grabs in his all-British battle, but that’s not all. DeGale has staked his career on the fight, admitting he’ll call it a day if he loses.
In the build-up to fight night, we look at the odds and give you all the info you need ahead of the Battle of the Brits…
When is it?
The bout will happen on Saturday 23rd February 2019. The undercard will kick off proceedings at 7:00pm, with the main event to follow.
It’s expected that DeGale and Eubank Jr will start their ring walks at 10:00pm.
Where is it?
London’s O2 Arena is booked to host the clash. The 20,000 capacity venue on the Greenwich Peninsula, South-East London has hosted some of the biggest boxing matches in recent times such as both David Haye v Tony Bellew bouts and a few Anthony Joshua wins.

Tickets haven’t sold out yet, and can be picked up starting at £47.25 from the venue’s website. If you don’t fancy making the trip and would rather watch on TV, it’s being shown by ITV Box Office, though you’ll have to pay £19.95 to gain access.
What are their records?
The former two-time IBF World Super-Middleweight Champion James DeGale comes into the fight winning 25 of his 28 bouts so far, with 15 coming by knockout.
He’s lost twice, with the first against George Groves and most recently losing to Caleb Truax in December 2017. His only draw came in against Badou Jack in January 2017 at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn, New York.
Chris Eubank Jr is the former IBO World Super-Middleweight Champion, and comes into the fight with 27 wins from 29 bouts, with 21 won by knockout.
Eubank Jr lost a 2014 encounter with Billy Joe Saunders by split-decision, and more recently lost a 2018 bout with George Groves by unanimous decision.
What are the odds?
DeGale won’t want to look at the odds if he’s putting his career on the line, as he goes into this bout as the underdog. He’s priced at 6/5 to win their battle.
Eubank Jr is favoured by our traders, priced at 8/11 for the win. The Draw or Technical Draw comes in at 16/1.
It’s predicted to be a close encounter, and could be going the distance according to our odds. For a DeGale points win, that’s 15/8.
