Odds and tips for the action in Italy

With over half of the season gone, it’s hard to see anyone catching Juventus at the top of Serie A.

The Old Lady are nine points clear of second-placed Napoli and on course for a seventh-straight title.

We might not have much of a title race, but the battle for a top-four spot takes centre stage this weekend.

AC Milan are fourth on 34 points, only four about eighth-paced Sampdoria. Six of the top eight face each other over this gameweek, as we start our preview with Lazio’s clash against Juve…

Lazio v Juventus (Sunday, 7:30pm)

Simeone Inzaghi’s side have dropped to sixth after a recent blip. But they’ve won two of their last four games against Juventus. No Italian side has a better record against the champions since the start of last season.

However, they haven’t beaten Max Allegri’s team at home since 2013. Juve have won the previous five meetings at the Stadio Olimpico without conceding a goal. They’re 20/23 favourites this time, or 21/10 to Win to Nil again.

It’s no surprise that Cristiano Ronaldo leads the goalscoring markets. He’s netted in each of his last seven away league outings. The Portuguese superstar is 23/10 to score first and 4/5 to net anytime.

AC Milan v Napoli (Saturday, 7:30pm)

It’s been a busy few days for Milan, who’ve brought in Krzysztof Piatek to replace Gonzalo Higuain up front. They’ll be confident after two wins on the bounce, but Napoli may be too strong for them here.

Last season’s runners-up look set to be the best of the rest again. They’re evens to complete the double over the hosts this term.

Lorenzo Insigne is available again for Napoli, but Carlo Ancelotti could stick with Arkadiusz Milik after a run of four goals in three games. The Pole is 6/4 to net at San Siro, the same price as Piatek is for a debut goal.

Atalanta v Roma (Sunday, 2pm)

We could be in for goals as fifth-placed Roma travel to Atalanta in seventh. Atalanta are the highest-scoring team in the division (44 goals), while Roma are flying high after four straight wins.

It finished 3-3 when they met back in August. We go 15/2 for a repeat of the draw and Over 3.5 Goals.

Duvan Zapata’s the joint-top scorer with 14 goals in the league this term. He’s 16/5 to break the deadlock for the home side.

Roma will be looking to Edin Dzeko to fire them to a vital win. He’s 13/8 to end his recent goal drought.
