Chelsea are looking to re-write an unwelcome recent record of three-straight defeats in all competitions against Spurs.
The Blues last win came in August 2017. An own goal from Michy Batshuayi looked to have sealed a late draw for Spurs, but Marcos Alonso bagged the winner in the 88th minute.
The pair did meet in the League Cup final in 2008. Jonathan Woodgate’s extra-time strike sealed the cup for Spurs.

The Spurs boss may be forced to stick Lucas Moura straight back into the fold, but Georges-Kevin N’Koudou is pushing for a start after his match winning assist against Fulham.
Paulo Gazzaniga has established himself as Spurs’ cup keeper and should retain his spot.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek is the only absentee for Chelsea, so Sarri could be tempted to return Callum Hudson-Odoi to the starting eleven.
As new signing Gonzalo Higuaín is ineligible, Eden Hazard could find himself playing as a false-nine again.

Chelsea dominated possession and shots on goal at Wembley but couldn’t find a breakthrough.
Hazard will have his manager’s recent cutting words ringing in his ears when he steps on the pitch tonight.
It will be down to the Belgian to provide the spark for Chelsea up against the Spurs rear-guard.
Fernando Llorente is set to be the focal point for the away side and will look to get the better of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen.
N’Koudou will hope this is his chance to prove he’s more than a bench player too.

For Chelsea to qualify they will have to beat their opponents for the first time in two years.
And with Spurs’ injury-list, the home side are 8/13 to win the match and 10/11 to qualify.
If Lucas Moura is on the pitch, Pochettino may try to play a counter-attacking style.
