Odds and preview for Premier League clash

We could be in for an early Christmas cracker when Wolves host Liverpool tonight.

The home side have held their own against the big teams this term. They beat Chelsea at Molineux earlier this month. And they’ve taken points off Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United too. Can they do it again against the league leaders?

Tune in to Sky Sports Premier League at 8:00pm tonight to witness the drama unfold.

Head-to-Head

These sides have only met once in the last five years, with Wolves’ shock win at Anfield dumping Liverpool out of the FA Cup in January 2017.

Wolves have won two of the last five meetings, with the Reds taking the points in the other three.

Key Battles

Wolves’ have found it hard to get going against sides that sit deep. The bigger sides leave more space in behind, giving them a chance to express themselves.

If Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho can evade Liverpool’s press, they could get Raul Jimenez and Helder Costa into dangerous areas.

Jurgen Klopp could bring Jordan Henderson back into midfield here. He’s likely to stick with Nathaniel Clyne at right-back too with Trent Alexander-Arnold still unavailable.

But it’s the other flank that could sway the outcome of this game. Matt Doherty has been a revelation at wing-back for the promoted side. But he may have to be cautious to guard against Andrew Robertson’s runs from left-back.

Goalscorer Odds

Liverpool are 4/7 to get three points and maintain their lead at the top of the table.

Our traders have Nuno Espirito Santo’s side 11/2 to win, or 6/4 in the Double Chance.

The draw is going for 3/1.

Both sides like to play on the front foot. They could put on a real show here. It’s 12/5 for Over 3.5 Goals.

As for who’ll get those goals, Mo Salah is 14/5 favourite to score first, with Raul Jimenez leading the way for the home side at 3/1 anytime.

Xherdan Shaqiri could also be one to watch after his heroics last weekend. The Swiss star is 21/10 to get on the scoresheet again.
