Odds and preview ahead of the Championship clash

There’s a tasty East Midlands derby at Pride Park tonight as Derby County entertain Nottingham Forest.

Both sides are fully in the promotion mix and the Rams can shoot into third spot with a home win.

But can Forest bounce back from last week’s loss to Preston and fire themselves into the top six?

We’ve got all the key info and big match odds ahead of the tie that you can catch live from 7:45pm on Sky Sports Football…

Head-to-Head

The last time Forest beat Derby was back in November 2015. A Nelson Oliveira fifth-minute strike was enough for a 1-0 victory.

Since then, County have dominated the fixture with three wins in five games. A 3-0 home win in 2017 was followed by a 2-0 victory at Pride Park last season.

A goal apiece from Matej Vydra and David Nugent downed their rivals in October 2017.

Derby County vs Nottingham Forest - Football tactics and formations

Midfielders Joe Ledley and George Evans could be available for Derby but Bradley Johnson and striker Mason Bennett will be out of the match-up.

Lampard should keep largely with the side that beat Wigan Athletic but could replace Craig Bryson with the fit-again Ledley.

Aitor Karanka’s visitors will again be without defender Tobias Figueiredo, who is serving the final match of a three-game ban.

There are doubts over the fitness of Michael Dawson and Danny Fox. Gil Dias may come in for Matty Cash in midfield.

Key Battles

This is usually a highly-charged occasion which has both managers and players crossing the East Midlands divide over the last fifteen years.

Forest’s Lewis Grabban is the league’s top scorer with 14 goals already this campaign. Frank Lampard will expect centre-backs Fikayo Tomori and Richard Keogh to keep the back door shut.

The Rams have their own man in form in the shape of Jack Marriott.

The front-three also includes the dangerous Tom Lawrence and Liverpool-loan star Harry Wilson.

Match Odds

Derby are 21/20 to bag a fourth win in six games. The Tricky Trees could be a difficult proposition and are 13/5 to score the three points.

A second-successive draw is 5/2.

Grabban to plunder his 15th goal of the season is 7/4 anytime. Joe Lolley has notched some important goals already this season and is 13/5 to notch at any point in the match.

Derby to win to nil yet again is 27/10. Marriott to score first is 4/1.

The match to see Over 2.5 goals is 4/5.
