Mourinho’s time looks to be running out

Former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane looks increasingly likely to replace Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, according to the latest Coral odds.

United’s loss to West Ham United last weekend leaves them 10th in the Premier League. They’re also without a win in their last three outings.

Zidane is now 1/2 to take over at Old Trafford (was 10/11). He left Madrid in the summer after guiding the La Liga giants to three successive Champions League titles.

Antonio Conte is second in the betting, but some way back at 8/1.

“We’ve seen another wave of bets on Zidane being the next Manchester United manager in the aftermath of Mourinho’s men losing at West Ham on Saturday. Now into 1/2 it’s clear that punters are absolutely convinced that the former Real Madrid boss will be the one to replace Jose,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

It’s just 1/5 that Mourinho isn’t in charge at United by the final league game of the campaign, while 2/9 says that the Red Devils fail to pick up a trophy.

“It’s beginning to look there is already no way back for Mourinho, but if he does survive, the moment a trophyless season is confirmed could be the final nail in the coffin,” added Aitkenhead.

Jose Mourinho odds

1/5 – To leave Manchester United before last game of 2018/19 Premier League season

2/9 – Manchester United not to win a trophy this season

1/3 – To leave Manchester United before 1/1/19

Next Manchester United manager

1/2 Zinedine Zidane, 8/1 Antonio Conte, 14/1 Mauricio Pochettino, 20/1 Laurent Blanc, 20/1 Massimiliano Allegri, 25/1 Bar
