Odds for tonight’s action in the second-tier

The Championship is shaping up very nicely this season. But tonight’s fixtures could shake things up.

Middlesbrough and Sheffield United are locked on 25 points at the top of the table. Both teams are in action this evening.

We’ve tipped up their games, as well as the best of the action elsewhere, right here…

Middlesbrough v Rotherham

Rotherham have lost six away games on a spin. And it doesn’t get much tougher than a trip to league leaders Boro right now.

Tony Pulis has installed a rock-solid defence at the Riverside. His side have only conceded two league goals at home this term. A home win to nil is available for 11/10.

The hosts don’t tend to need too many goals themselves as they let in so few. They’re the second-lowest scorers in the top-half with 16 goals. Under 2.5 Goals is going for 5/6, with Boro and Under 2/5 Goals at 11/5.

Sheffield United v Stoke City

After dropping points at the weekend, the Blades will want to ensure they keep pace with Middlesbrough here.

They’re unbeaten in five at home and 10/11 to beat an inconsistent Stoke side.

The hosts will look to Billy Sharp to fire them to victory. He’ll be raring to go after struggling to get into the game against Derby County. He’s 11/8 to get on the scoresheet tonight.

Millwall v Wigan Athletic

Millwall are looking to stop the rot after just one win in 10 league games. They face a Wigan side coming off the back of an impressive win over West Bromwich Albion.

Paul Cook’s side have struggled on the road of late. They’ve got a great chance to turn that around here. A 12/5 away win could take them back into the play-off spots.

It’s not likely to be a comfortable evening though. The Latics haven’t kept a clean sheet on their travels this term. Both Teams to Score is going for 5/6.

Swansea City v Blackburn Rovers

Blackburn have the momentum coming into this one. They’ve only lost one in seven league games, while Swansea have only won one in seven.

Rovers’ win over Leeds United took them into the top six. They’re 12/5 to win and make sure they remain in the play-off spots.

Bradley Dack has bagged in six of his seven away appearances this term. He’s 2/1 to get another goal on his travels at the Liberty Stadium.

Norwich City v Aston Villa

Norwich have won each of their last three home games against Villa. But there may not be much between the two sides this time. There’s 9/4 for the draw.

Things had gone stale at Villa under Steve Bruce. There’s much more optimism around the club now with new boss Dean Smith in place.

Timm Klose and Tammy Abraham both have three goals in three games. They’re 4/1 and 6/1 respectively to open the scoring.
