Carabao Cup Tips: Can Arsenal, Spurs and Palace make it through?

Betting preview for the Carabao Cup
Tottenham Hotspur’s trip to West Ham United and Chelsea’s visit of Frank Lampard’s Derby County provide the highlights from tonight’s Carabao Cup Fourth Round action.
We’ve previewed the latter of those ties with a Big Match Breakdown, while looking at the remaining three in our Carabao Cup Tips.
Arsenal v Blackpool (7:45pm)
Blackpool don’t have a great record on the road against top-flight sides in domestic cup competitions. Ruud Gullit’s Chelsea were the last Premier League team to taste defeat at home against the Tangerines in the cup – that was all the way back in 1996.
It’s no surprise, then, that Arsenal are the 1/9 favourites here, with 3/4 saying they Win to Nil against their League One opponents. Arsenal and Over 3.5 Goals is 10/11 to land for the fifth time this season at the Emirates Stadium.
If there are goals, Danny Welbeck should be amongst them. He’s struck five times so far this term, including a brace against Brentford in the last round. We go 8/15 about him netting Anytime or 17/10 to Score 2 or More. Youngster Emile Smith-Rowe is 21/20 Anytime.
West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur (7:45pm)
Just 48 hours after defeat to Manchester City, Spurs are back in action against West Ham. The good news is that Mauricio Pochettino should be able to call on a number of returning players.
Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are both expected to start here, with the latter of those an 11/4 shot to Score Anytime. The hosts may look towards Robert Snodgrass at 3/1, after the Scotsman netted his seventh and eighth Carabao Cup goals in 17 appearances against Macclesfield Town in the last round.
Nevertheless, the visitors are the 6/4 favourites to win the game, against 7/4 for the Hammers. A repeat of Tottenham’s 1-0 win at the London Stadium just over a week ago is available at 17/2.
Middlesbrough v Crystal Palace (8pm)
Boro’s stringent defence up against a much-changed Palace side is likely to produce a close encounter. The Londoners rely heavily on Wilfried Zaha and Luka Milivojevic, and with both unlikely to start at the Riverside Stadium, the draw is available at 11/5.
Britt Assombalonga heads the goalscoring market for the hosts at 21/10, with Alexander Sorloth an 11/5 chance for the visitors. Connor Wickham is a 2/1 shot on what could be his first start for the Eagles since November 2016.
Only four Middlesbrough games this season have produced more than two goals in a match. Under 2.5 Goals is 7/10, while Under 1.5 Goals is slightly longer at 2/1.
