Tips and preview of the weekend’s actions

With six games gone, the Premier League table is beginning to take shape. Liverpool and Chelsea occupy two of the top three spots, and face off in Saturday’s teatime game.

Ahead of the weekend’s clashes, the Coral News Team take a look at that game and four more top ties…

Blues bidding to do Liverpool double

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah picked up the coveted Puskas Award earlier this week. But it was Chelsea’s Eden Hazard who stole the headlines as the pair met on Wednesday night.

The Blues pulled off a late comeback, becoming the first side to win at Anfield in 16 games. Hazard was the mastermind of that victory, with his stunning solo goal likely to go down as one of the best of this campaign.

And he’ll have the chance to pile the misery on Liverpool as the pair face off again at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

This is likely to be an entertaining game, with 1/2 for Both Teams to Score. As for Hazard to find the net Anytime, that’s a 17/10 shot.

Early bottom-five battle in South Wales

Two of the early-season strugglers face off in South Wales on Saturday. But it’s visitors Burnley who will surely be feeling more optimistic than hosts Cardiff City.

The Clarets pulled off a first win of the season in emphatic fashion last weekend, with a 4-0 defeat of AFC Bournemouth. That’s the Cherries’ heaviest defeat of 2018 so far.

Hosts Cardiff are second-bottom and seem to be in a downward spiral right now. They’ve lost three in a row at home, shipping 11 goals in the process. A Burnley victory is 2/1, with Sean Dyche’s men 6/1 to pull off the -1 handicap.

Tale of two midweeks as Man United visit Irons

West Ham United pulled off their biggest win since 1983 on Wednesday night, thrashing League Two Macclesfield Town 8-0 in the Carabao Cup.

Their visitors this weekend are a Manchester United side who endured a very different cup experience in midweek. They lost on penalties to Derby County, following a chaotic display marked by an awful Romelu Lukaku performance.

With apparent friction between boss Jose Mourinho and Paul Pogba, the Red Devils’ camp doesn’t look to be a happy one. They could well struggle against an improving Hammers side, who are 10/3 to bag the victory at London Stadium.

Can in-form Gunners overcome their Hornets hiccup?

Arsenal made it six wins from six in all competitions with Wednesday night’s entertaining 3-1 defeat of Brentford. But they have an unwanted head-to-head record to overcome as they host Watford on Saturday.

The Hornets have won two of the last three meetings. They’ve also claimed victory on two of their last four trips to the Emirates – 2-1 on each occasion.

After a bright start to the campaign, Javi Gracia’s men are now three without a win in all competitions. However, they have netted in every game this season.

A high-scoring Gunners win could be the outcome here. Arsenal to Win and Both Teams to Score is 13/8.

Will Mitro’s streak continue at Goodison?

Fulham fans were delighted to see their side secure a permanent deal for Aleksandar Mitrovic in the summer, and it’s been easy to see why.

The Serbian’s bustling play, aerial threat and clinical finishing have been the bright spark for an otherwise pretty unremarkable Cottagers side this season. He’s netted five of their eight Prem goals so far, and linked up well with Andre Schurrle.

Their hosts this weekend – Everton – are enduring a mini-blip, with no wins in their last four Prem games. Double Chance: Fulham or Draw is 11/10, while Coral’s odds make it 2/1 for Mitrovic to Score Anytime.
