Can Gosden’s charge grab glory at Doncaster?

All eyes are on Doncaster Racecourse this weekend, as the St Leger heads into town once again.

Kew Gardens had been the long-term favourite leading up to the event, but Aidan O’Brien’s charge has now slipped to second in the betting at odds of 9/4.

The firm favourite is now Lah Ti Dar at 7/4, with odds of John Gosden’s filly trimmed from 2/1 by Coral traders this afternoon.

Those two are some way ahead of the pack in the betting. Next up is Godolphin’s Loxley at 6/1, with Old Persian at 8/1.

Meanwhile, another O’Brien charge, Southern France, is available at odds of 14/1.

Coral’s David Stevens said: “All week the ante-post support had strongly suggested Lah Ti Dar would be lining up at Doncaster, and so it proved, and those punters who have backed her into clear favouritism will be hoping to see another Frankie Dettori flying dismount in the Town Moor winner’s enclosure on Saturday afternoon.”
