Kew Gardens still favourite for St Leger but Lah Ti Dar closing in

Latest odds for Doncaster classic

Lah Ti Dar could challenge Kew Gardens for favouritism ahead of the St Leger, if connections choose to aim her at the Doncaster classic instead of Paris the following day.

Kew Gardens remains the favourite for Saturday’s renewal at 5/4. But John Gosden’s filly has halved in price to 7/2 following the latest entry stage for the race.

The pair top the market ahead of Great Voltigeur Stakes winner Old Persian at 11/2, and Loxley at 7/1. A number of horses then come before March Stakes victory, Maid Up, who is 16/1 after being supplemented by connections.

“While Kew Gardens remains a hot favourite for the season’s final Classic at this stage, should connections of Lah Ti Dar aim her at Doncaster rather than Paris the following day, such was the impression she made when winning at York, the filly could well challenge the Ballydoyle colt for favouritism on Saturday,” reckoned Coral’s David Stevens.
