How do Milan become Italy’s number one?
The Rossoneri last won the Serie A title in the 2010/11 campaign. The squad boasted Ronaldinho, Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
However, they’ve not finished in the top three for five years dating back to 2012-13.
But since new American owners took over this summer, it seems like a start of a new dawn in the red half of the San Siro.

Doing business with Juventus
If Cristiano Ronaldo hadn’t swapped Madrid for Turin this summer then the deal to bring Gonzalo Higuaín to AC Milan would have got even more attention.
The deal included former Juve star Leonardo Bonucci returning to The Old Lady and promising defender Mattia Caldara moving to Milan.
Bonucci may be a hero at Juventus but for many it’s Milan who have got the better deal here.
Higuaín is sure to keep up his record of notching at least 15-20 goals in his last five seasons.
If Milan are able to do deals with Italian football’s powerhouse again then they may finally climb the table.
Reviving Bakayoko
Tiemoue Bakayoko was described as a ‘deft midfield monster’ by the Guardian upon his arrival at Chelsea last summer.
He came into his own during Monaco’s Ligue 1 title win in 2016 and run to the last-four of the Champions League.
However, he confessed he has found the adaptation to the Premier League a difficult experience.
A move away always looked on the cards when Chelsea bought in both Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic into the midfield.
If Milan can tempt out the monster in Bakayoko once again, then they could have a consistent and solid base to work from.
Defence primed for success
The arrival of Mattia Caldara means Milan have six of their ten defenders at 25-years-old or younger.
This is a big and important shift for the club who will believe building a young and hungry squad will be vital to a shift in fortunes.
Juventus rejected an offer from Chelsea for Caldara earlier in the summer, but their keenness to bring back Bonucci and to give Ronaldo a clear run upfront meant Caldara had to be sacrificed.
He is thought of as Italy’s next big thing at centre back, and former team-mate Giorgio Chiellini was disappointed the defender had to go.
But now in the famous Rossoneri colours he could become a mainstay alongside Alessio Romagnoli for club and country.
