Premier League preview: Big weekend for Fulham and Wolves
A round-up of the key storylines and odds
The opening weekend of the 2018-19 Premier League season is finally upon us with some cracking fixtures to look forward to.
We’ve got Big Match Breakdowns of Manchester United v Leicester, Newcastle United v Tottenham, and Arsenal v Manchester City for you to read.
And the Coral News Team previews the rest of the key storylines from the weekend’s games…
Can Cardiff get off to a winning start?
Neil Warnock somehow managed to get Cardiff City promoted on a shoestring budget. And the Bluebirds will know this season is a bit of a free swing at staying up.
They’re 13/4 shots to roll over Bournemouth tomorrow at the Gold Sands Stadium. And Warnock will be confident of causing an upset after a decent summer of transfer business.
New-look Fulham host Palace
They may have a host of brand new signings, but Slavisa Jokanovic’s Fulham will still play their tried-and-trusted free-flowing football.
The Cottagers open up with the visit of London neighbours Crystal Palace. And they’re 27/20 to bag all three points.
It’ll be interesting to see how new stars Jean Michael Seri and Andre Schurrle settle in.
Will Sarriball click immediately?
Maurizio Sarri has a bit of a job on his hands at Chelsea. The former Napoli boss has had minimal time with his new side after a late-ish appointment.
The Blues looked a little ropey and open in the FA Community Shield defeat to Man City. And they travel to Huddersfield with odds of 6/10 for a win.
New signing Kepa Arrizabalaga will start in goal, replacing the departed Thibaut Courtois.
The Silva reign begins
Everton finally got their man over the summer with Marco Silva signing on the dotted line. And they’ve backed their man with transfers that went over £100m in total.
The Toffees kick off with a tricky trip to newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Wolves have made their own savvy signings, too.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s men are 13/10 to begin life in the top-flight with a win. Everton are 11/5 for the three points.
Can Salah fire again for Reds?
Super Sunday kicks off with a cracker from Anfield as Liverpool begin their title quest with a clash against West Ham United.
The Reds have signed spectacularly over the summer and will be chomping at the bit. All eyes will be on Mohamed Salah to see if he can match last season’s 32-goal haul.
The Egyptian is 9/4 to be First Goalscorer and 17/10 to notch two or more.
