Mourinho now odds-on to be sacked by Christmas

His time at Man Utd could be coming to an end

Is Jose Mourinho suffering from another case of Third Season Syndrome at Manchester United? Coral’s latest odds certainly suggest so.

Mourinho is now 10/11 to be sacked before Christmas Day (was 6/5) as the pressure ramps up.

United narrowly beat Leicester City in their first game of the season, but lost to Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend. They face a tough game against Tottenham Hotspur on Monday as narrow 6/4 favourites.

The United manager is also 1/3 to leave the club before Paul Pogba, who is 9/4 to be the first of the pair to move on.

“Mourinho is under immense pressure and with a massive game looming on Monday night against Tottenham, another defeat could be another nail into the coffin. We now make him odds on not to be celebrating Christmas as Manchester United manager,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

Coral also have several football specials on offer, including 33/1 for Virgil van Dijk to be named Player of the Year.

“Liverpool fans are rushing to get their bets on a sensational season for the Reds, including Virgil Van Dijk for PFA Player of the Year after his superb start to the season,” added Aitkenhead.
