Europa League tips: Can Burnley overcome a two-goal deficit to qualify?
Odds for tonight’s play-off second legs
The final places in the Europa League group stage will be decided today as the play-off second legs take place around the continent.
The Coral News Team have put together their tips for the tastiest ties…
FC Ufa v Rangers (3:00pm)
Rangers take a 1-0 lead to Russia as 2/9 favourites to qualify. Ufa are very narrow 7/4 favourites to get the win at the Stadion Neftyanik. But they’ve only won two of their nine home games since July. The draw is tempting at 21/10.
Steven Gerrard’s side have scored three goals in both of their last two away outings in all competitions. Over 2.5 Goals is 27/20 here.
Kyle Lafferty got a brace against Motherwell last weekend. The Rangers striker is 9/2 to get a crucial away goal here.
FC Copenhagen v Atalanta (5:30pm)
Atalanta have established themselves as a top-half side in Serie A over the last few years. They were held to a 0-0 draw by Copenhagen in the first leg, but they should have enough to get what they need in Denmark. The Italian side are 4/5 favourites in this one.
The Nerazzurri have kept three clean sheets in their last four games. It’s 19/10 that they Win to Nil.
But Copenhagen have racked up 17 goals in their previous five home games. Over 3.5 Goals is going for 11/5.
RB Leipzig v Zorya Luhansk (5:30pm)
Leipzig’s Bundesliga campaign got off to a miserable start as they lost 4-1 to Borussia Dortmund last week. They’ll need an instant response if they’re going to get through here.
Ralf Rangnick’s side drew 0-0 with Zorya in Ukraine, even though the home side played with 10 men for over 70 minutes. Leipzig took 29 shots and only hit the target four times. They surely can’t be as wasteful this time around.
Leipzig are 3/4 to Win to Nil and 12/5 to score Over 3.5 Goals.
Zorya have only won one of their last eight games. It’s 7/10 for Leipzig to be leading at half-time and full-time.
Burnley v Olympiacos (7:45pm)
Burnley have it all to do at Turf Moor. They find themselves 3-1 down from the first leg. Their away goal does give them hope though. The Clarets are 11/8 to win on the night.
However, they’ve lost three games on the trot, while Olympiacos have won all four of their games so far this season. It’s hard to see the home side keeping a clean sheet on current form. Burnley to win and Both Teams to Score is 9/2.
Chris Wood is Burnley’s likeliest scorer at 5/4, while it’s 11/1 that James Tarkowski gets his third goal in four games.
Bordeaux v Gent (7:45pm)
Despite being no closer to appointing a new manager, Bordeaux managed to beat Monaco 2-1 last weekend. A good result against Gent would help them turn the corner after a tough start to the season.
After a 0-0 draw in Belgium, the French side are 19/20 to get a home victory.
It’s going to be tough though. The draw in the first leg is the only time Gent have failed to win in their last six outings. They’ve scored eight goals in their previous four away games too. Both Teams to Score is Evens, while Bordeaux and over 2.5 Goals is going for 5/2.
