Previews and odds ahead of the first legs

The Europa League hits the play-off stage as teams from across Europe battle for a place in the Group Stage.

There’s a host of first legs taking place across the evening. And the UK has a trio of representatives involved. Celtic take on FK Suduva, Rangers face FC Ufa, and Burnley clash with Olympiakos.

And the Coral News Team you covered with those three games with odds and tips, and a couple of select games from elsewhere.

Suduva v Celtic

Brendan Rodgers will have been disappointed (that) his side missed out on the Champions League Group Stage. But Celtic still have the opportunity to be playing European footy up until Christmas, at least.

And the Hoops will be confident ahead of a two-legged clash against Lithuania’s Suduva. They’re 4/11 to get the job done tonight.

However, Rodgers’ outfit haven’t been in their best form of late. And the Glasgow giants will be without a key trio in Jack Hendry, Dedryck Boyata, and Odsonne Edouard.

And poor away form in Europe still follows them. Suduva are relative minnows in European competitions. But they’re 21/10 on the Double Chance market here.

Rangers v Ufa

Celtic’s arch-rivals Rangers have started very well under Steven Gerrard. The Gers remain unbeaten under the ex-Liverpool legend. And they have navigated the early rounds of this competition comfortably.

They’re 1/2 to bag a first-leg lead over the Russian Premier League outfit at Ibrox. However, Gerrard has some injuries to contend with. Graham Dorrans, Jamie Murphy, and Lassana Coulibaly are all ruled out.

The Light Blues have only conceded twice in six homes this season. But both of those have come in the Europa League against Osijek and Maribor. Both Teams To Score is 6/4 here.

Gers striker Alfredo Morelos has four goals in his last three games. The Colombian is 10/3 to score First.

Olympiakos v Burnley

The Clarets travel to Greece to take on Champions League regulars, Olympiakos. Sean Dyche’s side will be massively up for this in front of a rapturous crowd at the Karaiskakis Stadium.

However, the Premier League outfit are huge underdogs in this first leg, available at 9/2. It’s questionable whether Dyche has the squad available to go deep in this competition and survive in the top flight.

The Piraeus-based outfit have played just two competitive matches this season. Burnley will likely look to dig in and take a draw back to Turf Moor. They’re 21/20 on the Double Chance market. The 0-0 correct score is 6/1.

Elsewhere

Besiktas are in action against Partizan Belgrade in Serbia. The Turkish giants have won their first two domestic league games and are 11/8 to add to that run here.

RB Leipzig travel to Ukraine to face Zorya Luhansk. Ralf Rangnick’s side are 6/10 to get a first leg win. However, the German outfit kick off their Bundesliga campaign this weekend and could rest some key players.

Zorya are 9/2 to bag a big win on home soil.
