Odds, tips and preview for Premier League clash

Liverpool will be looking to continue their impressive start to the season against Brighton & Hove Albion this evening.

The Reds have won both of their opening games, but they can’t afford to be complacent here. Brighton beat Manchester United last weekend and could pull off another upset at Anfield.

You can catch the action live from 5:30pm on BT Sport 1. Before it gets started, the Coral News Team have all the info you need…

Head-to-Head

Liverpool cruised past Brighton in both of their league meetings last season. They beat the Seagulls 4-0 at home and 5-1 away.

The two clubs have only met on two other occasions this century. Both games ended with Liverpool going into the next round of a domestic cup.

Likely XIs

Liverpool are the only team in the league that haven’t conceded a goal yet. There’s no reason for Jurgen Klopp to make changes for a side that’s been performing well.

Jordan Henderson and Fabinho are both available in midfield, but James Milner and Giorginio Wijnaldum deserve to keep their places.

Lewis Dunk’s injury means Chris Hughton will be forced to change the Brighton backline. Leon Balogun could make his first start for the club.

Other than that, Hughton is likely to call on the same players that did so well against United.

Key Battles

How do you stop Liverpool’s front three? It’s a question that will give managers up and down the country sleepless nights.

Bernardo will need to have a great game to keep Mohamed Salah quiet, while Sadio Mane is in superb form too.

Brighton’s best chance of success is likely to be sitting deep and hoping for a goal on the break. Liverpool can find it hard to break down compact defences.

Match Odds

Liverpool are 1/7 favourites to continue their winning start to the season. Brighton are out at 20/1, while the draw’s available for 7/1.

It’s 8/11 that Jurgen Klopp’s side get their third straight Win to Nil too.

Salah is 6/4 to get 2 goals or more, while Sadio Mane is 6/5 to net at any point.

Glenn Murray is 3/1 to follow up his strike against United with another goal here.
