Leicester defender has excelled at the World Cup

Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign in-demand Leicester City defender Harry Maguire, according to the latest Coral odds.

Maguire has been superb for England during the World Cup. His calm defending, comfort in possession and threat from set-pieces hasn’t gone unnoticed.

Spurs are 9/4 favourites to sign the 25-year-old. As Toby Alderweireld looks set to be on his way, they’ll need to bring in a replacement.

Liverpool are back at 4/1, with Manchester United a 6/1 shot.

“There are sure to be a number of major clubs queuing up to sign Harry Maguire this summer following his performances at the World Cup but the betting suggests it is Tottenham who are the most likely to win the race to secure the Englishman once he gets home from Russia,” said Coral’s John Hill.
