It’s so close we can almost taste it at Coral News HQ. The football season is back next weekend with the Championship taking centre-stage.
Ahead of an action-packed opening weekend, the Coral News Team got you prepared with everything you need to know and how to watch it all unfold…
The Opener
The curtain rises at the Madejski Stadium on Friday 3rd August.
Frank Lampard makes his first foray into management as his new-look Derby County side take on Reading.
The former Chelsea legend has used his contacts to recruit highly-rated midfielder Mason Mount. It may also be a fresh forward-line with Matej Vydra looking likely to leave with Jack Marriott arriving from Peterborough United.
Reading will want to avoid another relegation scrap and they’re 17/10 to grab the win.
Derby are 33/20 to take the points back to Pride Park.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday
You can settle in for a feast of Championship action over the course of the weekend.
Saturday night serves up newly-relegated Swansea City’s trip to Sheffield United. The game will be live from 5.30pm.
Leeds United begin the Marcelo Bielsa era on Sunday afternoon. The former Marseille boss will hope his innovative tactics can upset Gary Rowett’s Stoke City from 4.30pm.
The first weekend comes to a close with a game that could easily be at Premier League level.
Hull City and Aston Villa have faced off eight times in the top-flight. However this will be the second successive season they play at this level.
Tune in to watch the pair tussle for supremacy at 7.45pm on Monday night.
