Is Jose heading for Old Trafford exit?

The new Premier League season is less than a fortnight away. But the latest odds from Coral suggest Jose Mourinho might not last the whole campaign.

The Manchester United boss is 7/1 second-favourite to be the next Prem boss to leave.

Meanwhile, the view from the trading floor is that he’s 2/9 to last until the New Year, but as short as 6/5 to be gone before the end of the season.

As it stands, Javi Gracia at 6/1 leads the market for the next departing boss. That doesn’t bode well for the Watford gaffer, who only took the job in January 2018.

Elsewhere in the market, there’s a trio of Claude Puel, Neil Warnock and Rafa Benitez all at 8/1 to go first. They’re followed by Mark Hughes at 11/1 and 14/1 shot Roy Hodgson.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “The pressure is already starting to build on Jose Mourinho and we’ve seen a lot of punters backing the Manchester United manager to be the first Premier League boss to leave his job this season,”

He added: “An indifferent start for Jose this season could see it all start to unravel and a pre-Christmas P45 certainly isn’t out of the question.”
