Alderweireld backed to swap Spurs for Man United

Coral make Manchester United the odds-on favourites at 8/11 to sign Toby Alderweireld this summer.

The Belgium international, who could be set to leave Tottenham in the near future, is 8/1 to join Barcelona and also 8/1 to move to PSG.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Jose Mourinho will be desperate to bolster his defence this summer and Toby Alderweireld may well be at the top of his shopping list if he does look to leave Tottenham over the next couple of weeks.”

The Belgian joined Spurs from Southampton in 2015, and has gone on to make 115 appearances for the North London side.

But Alderweireld has seemingly fallen out fo favouri with Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino in recent months.

Internationally, however, hee played a starring role this summer in Belgium’s run to third place at the World Cup.
