Jim Crowley calls it: “Muthmir is my best ride of the day”

The top jockey gives his thoughts on weekend rides at Haydock and Goodwood…

3.25 Haydock – Muthmir

He ran a decent 5th behind Battaash last time in the Temple Stakes and this looks a good opportunity for him. He must have a good chance and deserves to be favourite. It’s a big drop in class and he’s my best ride of the day.

4.00 Haydock – Tabarrak

Tabarrak must have a good chance. He likes Haydock and it would be great to win a Group Three with him as he has won at Listed level. I see no reason why he won’t run really well.

5.10 Haydock – May Symphonic

I don’t know much about this horse but it’s her first run in a handicap and she’s very unexposed. I always like riding for Tim Easterby and we’ve had some good luck together. Hopefully, she can go well. She’s a nice spare to pick up.

SUNDAY

2.00 Goodwood – Charles Molson

He has plenty of ability this horse and I like him a lot. I’ve ridden him plenty of times in his career. He ran very well last time out from a poor draw.  I think he has a really good chance in this.

4.55 Goodwood – Tamreer

She won on her debut at Salisbury three weeks ago and is a really nice filly. She had a few entries but we decided to take her to Goodwood. She’s been working very well at home and she must have a serious chance.
