Premier League Preview: Liverpool and Swansea amongst picks
Odds and tips for the final day of the season
It’s the final round of Premier League fixtures this Sunday as England’s top-flight finishes for another season.
Manchester City have already been crowned champions. Three of the top-four have also been confirmed. And two of the relegation places have been definitively settled.
There are only a handful of things left to be decided. The Coral News Team pick apart the 10 games and give their best bets…
Swansea City v Stoke City
Swansea have to beat already relegated Stoke to have any chance of staying up. Lose or draw, and they’re most definitely down.
That’s surely enough motivation to win at the Liberty Stadium against a deflated Potters side. The Swans are 5/6 to win. It could still be tight, though.
Both sides find it tough to score and the South Wales outfit will keep the ball plenty. Swansea to win to Nil is 23/10.
Newcastle United v Chelsea
Speaking of sides who need to win, Chelsea need to take all three points at St. James’ Park to have any hope of making the final top-four slot.
Liverpool are in the driving seat for that spot. And if the Reds avoid defeat at home to Brighton and Hove Albion, it won’t matter what Chelsea do.
But Chelsea are more than good enough to get a result against Newcastle. Antonio Conte’s side are 6/10 to win. The Magpies are always good for a goal at home, however. Both Teams To Score and Chelsea to win is 5/2.
Liverpool v Brighton
As mentioned previously, the Reds must win or draw against the Seagulls to definitively seal their place in next year’s Champions League.
Plus Mohamed Salah just needs one more goal to hold the record for most Premier League goals in a 38-game season.
The Egyptian ace is 19/10 to score first. While Liverpool are 6/5 to win with Over 3.5 Goals in the game.
Huddersfield v Arsenal
The Terriers confirmed their stay in the Premier League with two superb draws against Man City and Chelsea.
And David Wagner’s outfit welcome Arsenal to the John Smith’s Stadium for Arsene Wenger’s final game in charge of the Gunners.
It’s reported that the Huddersfield squad enjoyed their point at Stamford Bridge immensely after the game.
And that’s arguably why they’re at 9/2 to win at home against Wenger’s side. However, Arsenal have lost their last seven away games in the league.
Huddersfield are 7/5 on the Double-Chance market.
Elsewhere…
West Bromwich Albion were sadly relegated in midweek as results went against them. But Darren Moore deserves massive credit for even getting them close in recent weeks.
The Baggies are 7/2 to continue their good form at Crystal Palace. Burnley can finish their brilliant season on a high note with victory over Bournemouth. The Clarets are 11/10 for the win.
West Ham United finish their campaign against Everton at London Stadium. Both clubs have survived after tetchy seasons and will be happy to get over the line. The Draw is available at 12/5.
Man City will be looking to hit the 100-point barrier with a win at St. Mary’s. Southampton need to avoid any major battering. City to win and Under 2.5 Goals is 17/5.
Harry Kane will be gunning for the Golden Boot when Tottenham Hotspur take on Leicester City. He’ll need at least three goals to catch Mohamed Salah. Kane is 19/10 to score 2 or More.
Manchester United have sealed second place but their players will be playing for places in the FA Cup final against Watford. They’ll want to put on a show and impress Jose Mourinho. Man Utd to win with a -2.0 Handicap is 23/10.
