Liverpool ace has received more support

Coral can’t separate Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne in the 2017/18 PFA Player of the Year betting.

The pair can both be backed at 5/6 to win the accolade this season.

Coral’s John Hill said: “We can’t now separate the two players who have clearly been the standout stars of the season.

“The recent money has been for the Liverpool forward though, as punters believe his goals may just end up being the determining factor when it comes to voting,” added Hill.

De Bruyne was the early favourite following a dazzling first half of the campaign.

But Salah’s relentless run of goals for Liverpool, including four against Watford, has thrust the Egyptian into contention.

No Manchester City player has ever won the award, while Liverpool players have been handed the gong six times, with Luis Suarez the most recent Anfield recipient in 2014.
