Daily Acca tips: Frankfurt, Arsenal and Lazio amongst the picks
Big games in the Prem, Serie A & elsewhere
There’s top football from across the continent this Sunday, ranging from a vital Premier League clash to a Bundesliga cracker, via a Wembley final.
The Coral News Team have scoured the stats and flicked through the form tables to bring you the top tips…
Valencia – 1/2
Los Che are on song right now, following four successive wins ahead of Sunday’s home game with Espanyol.
No side in La Liga have won fewer games on the road than the Catalan club. They’ve chalked up a single victory in their 14 away games this term.
That record is unlikely to improve against a Valencia side who’ve won each of their last four home matches, scoring 10 goals in the process. As for the pair’s Head-to-Head record, Los Che have won five of the last six clashes.
Arsenal – 4/7
Arsene Wenger’s men impressed on Thursday night against CSKA Moscow, chalking up a 4-1 victory. That took their winning streak to five games, and the signs suggest they’ll make it six when Southampton visit.
The beleaguered Saints have taken just two points from their previous five league games, conceding six goals without reply over the last two.
Their struggling backline face a huge test to keep the likes of Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang quiet.
Eintracht Frankfurt – 29/20
Niko Kovac’s men are enjoying a season to remember, with Frankfurt currently sat in the Bundesliga’s top six. That’s largely been thanks to a sensational home record , taking 17 points from their last seven outings at Commerzbank-Arena.
Visitors Hoffenheim are also strong on home turf. But it’s a different story away from home. Ahead of their visit to Frankfurt, they’ve lost six of 10 on their travels across all competitions.
Lazio – 4/5
After a decent first half of the season, Udinese have crumbled in spectacular fashion. Massimo Oddo’s men have lost seven successive games, scoring just twice in the process.
By contrast, visitors Lazio are firing on all cylinders. They’ve won three and drawn one of their last four games, scoring 13 times in the process. With striker Claudio Immobile in stunning form, another high-scoring Lazio win could be on the cards.
Shrewsbury – 13/10 (in 90 minutes)
Shrewsbury Town are heading to Wembley this Sunday, as the League One side face fourth-tier Lincoln City in the Checkatrade Trophy Final.
The Shrews are enjoying a magnificent campaign, and currently sit second in the league having won 24 of their 40 games.
As well as playing a division below their Wembley opponents, Lincoln are patchy travellers. The Imps have won just three of their last 10 away games in all competitions.
