Daily Acca Tips: Barca, Man City, Fulham and QPR feature
This five-fold could pay out £56.46
There’s a busy programme of football across Tuesday evening with the Champions League second-legs leading the way.
Man City host Liverpool on home soil, while Barcelona travel to the Italian capital to face Roma.
Elsewhere, it’s a big night of Championship and League One action that could see major movement at both ends of the tables.
The Coral News Team have picked out five sides who should do the business…
Barcelona to beat Roma
Barcelona are already 4-1 on aggregate from the first leg – and barring a miracle – should progress to the semi-finals.
Lionel Messi was back in the starting XI at the weekend and scored a hat-trick against Leganes. Expect the mercurial Argentine to figure prominently for Barca in what should be another win at Stadio Olimpico.
Manchester City to beat Liverpool
City simply have to win at the Etihad Stadium to have any hope of progression. Pep Guardiola’s side are 3-0 from the first leg at Anfield and will need the performance of a lifetime to make the semi-finals.
Liverpool aren’t as good away from home and City will fancy their chances of at least winning. Guardiola will be hoping for a similar result to the 5-0 win over the Reds at Eastlands earlier in the season.
Fulham to beat Reading
Fulham are hot on the heels of Cardiff City in second-placed. The Cottagers are just two points behind City and could feasibly jump into that automatic promotion spot with a win – if Cardiff lose against Villa.
Slavisa Jokanovic’s side won’t be unduly worried about that. They’ll have to dispense with Reading first at Craven Cottage. Thankfully Fulham are in superb form – especially at home – having won nine in a row.
Queens Park Rangers to beat Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield Wednesday have had a pretty poor season to date and hover closer to the relegation zone than the play-offs.
QPR, on the other hand, are probably performing as expected under Ian Holloway, and sit above their visitors this evening.
The Hoops have actually won 10 of their 20 home league games so far and could make it 11 from 21 tonight.
Blackburn Rovers to beat Gillingham
Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn have stolen a march on League One title rivals Wigan Athletic and Shrewsbury Town in recent weeks.
Rovers lead the table, two points ahead of Wigan. If results go their way this evening, they could be as much as five points clear.
They’ll need to overcome a Gillingham side sat in 16th, eight points clear of the drop. Blackburn are the second best away side in the division and should have too much for the opposition here.
