Can Twiston-Davies’ star justify his favourite’s tag?

Following the final declarations, Blaklion is the 9/1 favourite with Coral for Saturday’s Randox Health Grand National, ahead of Tiger Roll at 10/1.

Anibale Fly and Total Recall are next at 11/1, with the well-backed Baie Des Iles among the runners quoted at 16/1.

Nigel Twiston-Davies’ charge also went off favourite in last year’s National, coming fourth after the four-mile slog.

Coral’s David Stevens said, “Although Blaklion currently heads the National betting, what happens on Saturday will determine which runner is sent off as  Grand National favourite.

He continued, “We’ve seen some huge day of race gambles in the past, such as those on Papillon, Monkerhostin and Seabass. And the latter’s jockey, Katie Walsh, is on board another potential plunge horse this time around, with the grey mare Baie Des Iles already backed from 40/1 down to 16/1 this week.”

Who will you be on?

9 Blaklion, 10 Tiger Roll, 11 Anibale Fly, Total Recall, 16 Baie Des Iles, Minella Rocco, Seeyouatmidnight, The Last Samuri, 20 Captain Redbeard, Ucello Conti, 25 Gas Line Boy.
