Are Chelsea there for the taking?

Chelsea host relegation- threatened West Ham United in a London derby on Sunday. Their stuttering form could give the Hammers hope of causing an upset.

The Blues’ loss to Tottenham Hotspur last weekend means they’re likely to miss out on the top four this term. That leaves the FA Cup as the only thing they’ve got to play for.

Antonio Conte’s team have looked out of sorts and lost four of their last six games. They’ve got the quality, but will they match the desire of a West Ham side desperate for points?

Here’s all the pre-match info from the Coral News Team

Head to Head

An early goal from Marko Arnautovic was enough to seal the points for West Ham when these two met earlier this season.

Despite Chelsea’s riches, matches between them have been fairly even in recent years. Both teams have won two of the last five clashes, with the other finishing as a draw.

Likely XIs

Chelsea v West Ham teams

Thibaut Courtois should be fit again for Chelsea. Gary Cahill may be in line for a recall to help shore up the backline. Tiemoue Bakayoko could also come into midfield to provide energy alongside N’Golo Kante.

Michail Antonio has been ruled out for the rest of the season, which is a huge blow for the visitors. Manuel Lanzini should take his place if he’s fit enough to start. The rest of the side is likely to be unchanged from the 3-0 win over Southampton.

Key Battles

Chelsea have looked a shadow of the side that stormed to the title last year in recent weeks. But Eden Hazard could expose Pablo Zabaleta’s lack of speed on the flank.

West Ham will need to protect the veteran, but if they’re well organised and counter smartly, they could find some joy.

Chelsea’s backline hasn’t looked solid lately. Arnautovic should get at least one clear sight of goal. He’ll need to make it count.

Match Odds

Chelsea are 1/4 favourites to get three points, with West Ham 12/1 outsiders. The draw is 19/4.

The West London side haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last seven games. Chelsea and Both Sides to Score is 2/1.

The first-half of a derby is always fiercely contested. Draw/Chelsea is 14/5.

After scoring against Spurs last week, Alvaro Morata will want to get a run of form going. He’s 14/5 to bag the opening goal.

Arnautovic is the key man for the Hammers. After a brace in his last outing, he’s 16/5 to score anytime here.
