Current Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is the new favourite to take over from Arsene Wenger as Arsenal manager.

The Italian chief has received strong support in the last 48 hours and is now 5/2 to land the gig at the Emirates.

He replaces previous favourite Luis Enrique, who is now out to 4/1 to swap Catalonia for North London in the summer.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers remains among the frontrunners at 8/1, as does Carlo Ancelotti at 10/1.

Former Gunners pair Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta are available at 12/1 apiece.

“We’re still no closer to knowing who will take over from Arsene Wenger next season but the betting in the last few days suggests that Juventus boss Allegri is a frontrunner, and he’d certainly be a popular choice amongst Gunners fans,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.

Meanwhile Coral are also offering betting on which team Arsene Wenger will manage next, with France the 7-2 favourites. However the odds have been slashed on the Frenchman joining Paris Saint-Germain, now just 4-1 from 6-1.

“It seems almost certain that Wenger will take another job and whilst France remains the most likely we’ve seen a number of bets on him joining PSG next and as a result have cut the odds,” added Aitkenhead.
