Scu Says “Moon Racer has a very big chance”

County Hurdle:

Moon Racer has had lots of issues but one thing I will say is that he feels as good as ever at home. I have plenty of hope. Moon Racer is the best horse in this race and off a mark of 142 he could potentially be thrown in. He has had problems and has been through the mill but he is a very tough individual. It may be a case of my heart over-ruling my head but I think he has a very big chance.

Grand Annual

Vaniteux in any normal Festival I would really fancy. But I think the ground has gone against him. The only thing that gives me hope is that i said the same thing about Next Sensation three years ago and he then won the race. We nearly even pulled Next Sensation out of the race because we thought it was too soft for him. I am concerned about the ground for him. He is probably the best horse in the race and we know he loves Cheltenham but this ground might find him out.

Gold Cup

I think last year’s race probably holds the key. I’m not sure we learned that much from Native River’s last start apart from the fact that he’s as good as ever. I think he’ll be placed but I just have a sneaking feeling that he’ll be placed again rather than win. I feel like whatever beats Native River will win the Gold Cup. That’s the feeling I get this year. Our Duke is probably the one that fits the stats. The other one at a big price I like is Minella Rocco who has run well at the Festival for the last two years.
