Odds cut on Arsene Wenger to not be at Arsenal next season
Gunners slumped to a new low on Wednesday night
Coral has cut the odds on Arsene Wenger not being Arsenal manager at the start of next season to 2/7 (from 1/2).
The move comes in the wake yesterday’s crushing 3-0 Premier League home defeat to Manchester City.
The defeat leaves the Gunners 10 points adrift of the top four and they are now 25/1 to finish in the Champions League spots.
Wenger’s side are still in European competition, and they’re 5/1 to win the Europa League and qualify through that path.
“It was another dark night for Wenger and we really think that the end is nigh for the beleaguered manager, who is now heavily odds on not to be in charge come the start of next season,” said Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead.
Arsenal’s next game is an away trip to Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday afternoon, and they’re 5/6 to collect a much-needed three points.
