Who will be on the plane to Russia?

Coral has priced up the most likely England squad for the upcoming World Cup in Russia.

Under-fire Joe Hart is just ahead of Nick Pope in the betting to claim the third ‘keepers spot.

Hart is 10/11 to make the final 23, with the Burnley stopper evens.

Coral’s Harry Aitkenhead said: “Our betting suggests that Southgate will plump for the experience of Hart ahead of Pope, who has come up on the rails with a fantastic season at Turf Moor.”

The odds also suggest that James Tarkowski and Danny Welbeck (both 5/6) will battle it out for one spot depending on what balance manager Gareth Southgate opts for.

Of those outside the top 23 in the betting, Alfie Mawson (10/11), Jake Livermore (9/4) and Lewis Cook (5/2) will hope to use their chance in the upcoming friendlies to secure a spot.

However, Gary Cahill (10/11), Chris Smalling (3/1) and Theo Walcott (4/1) will be among those hoping to earn a recall through their club form.

“It will be fascinating to see how the new faces get on this week, and the likes of Cahill, Smalling and Walcott will be nervously watching on as our market suggests that they will again miss out come the summer,” added Aitkenhead.
