All your tips on day three at Prestbury Park

It was another big day for Cheltenham punters yesterday as three of the big favourites all strolled to wins.

Samcro, Presenting Percy, and Altior all hosed up to make it a second expensive day for the bookies. Can day three go the same way?

There are some cracking renewals on St. Patrick’s Day with the JLT Novices’ Chase, the Ryanair Chase, and the Stayers’ Hurdle.

The Coral News Team give you their best bets for day three and have tipped up all seven races…

1:30 JLT Novices’ Chase – Finian’s Oscar each-way

This renewal is wide open. Willie Mullins’ Invitation Only is a strong candidate but he’s a little short. Behind him, there’s a host of horses in with a chance – but with caveats. Terrefort loves these conditions but has only raced right-handed to date.

Benatar and Modus are very talented horses but the former has missed a few dates and the latter has yet to face top quality.

Finian’s Oscar could take all the beating here if he gets it right. It’s been a difficult season to date but is said to be in superb condition after wind surgery.

Colin Tizzard’s stable has performed well so far this week and they reckon Finian’s Oscar could go very well.  A dual Grade 1 winner over hurdles, he’s taken time to get to grips with fences. But if he gets it right, he could hose up.

2:50 Ryanair Chase – Cloudy Dream each-way

A lot of the money will be coming for Un De Sceaux for this renewal of the Ryanair Chase and, arguably, rightly so.

Willie Mullins’ chaser doesn’t get the credit he deserves but there are dangers in this race.

A rejuvenated veteran Cue Card could pose a threat. However, it’s Ruth Jefferson’s Cloudy Dream that the Coral News Team really like.

He’s very consistent and will relish the soft ground. He’s not won many races recently but was second in the Arkle last year and could go very well here with big odds.

3:30 Stayers’ Hurdle – Yanworth

This year’s renewal of the Stayers’ Hurdle looks like one of the races of the entire festival. The majority of the field are in with a chance of a win.

One amongst many stands out – and that’s Yanworth. Alan King’s eight-year-old has switched back to hurdles where he’s a high-class operator.

Only Yorkhill has beaten him over hurdles to date and has a win already over fellow contender Supasundae. He’ll love the ground and King thinks he has a big chance.

If he runs anywhere near his best, he’s in with a big chance of winning it.

Cheltenham Day 3 Racing Tips:

1:30 JLT Novices’ Chase – Finian’s Oscar e/w

2:10 Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle – Glenloe: Currently heads the betting. Gordon Elliott seems to have aimed his seven-year-old directly at this race. Is a fantastic stayer and should relish the heavy conditions.

2:50 Ryanair Chase – Cloudy Dream e/w

3:30 Stayers’ Hurdle – Yanworth

4:10 Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate Handicap Chase – Tully East e/w: Conditions will be a concern, but already a Festival winner and has the class to win again.

4:50 Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – Laurina: Willie Mullins’ has hyped this five-year-old up. Loved the soft ground at Fairyhouse last time out and should hose up here.

5:30 Kim Muir Challenge Cup – Mall Dini: A Festival winner in 2016, and fifth in this race last year, Patrick Kelly’s eight-year-old is in with a big chance. Racing off the same mark as last year, should go well.
