Odds cut on Gareth Bale to Manchester United transfer this summer
Striker could be making Premier League return
Gareth Bale has been cut into 2-1 (from 3-1) with Coral to join Manchester United this summer.
The move comes after reports suggest the Welshman will be left out of the starting XI tonight for Real Madrid’s Champions League game against PSG.
Bale is 3/1 to re-sign for Tottenham and 10/1 to move to west Londoners Chelsea.
Coral’s John Hill said: “Punters have been backing Gareth Bale to sign for Manchester United this summer like a deal has already been done between the two clubs.”
He added: “There could be a three way battle between Manchester United, Tottenham and Chelsea next summer for the Welshman where the betting says Jose Mourinho will win the race to capture the Real Madrid man,”
Bale joined Madrid in 2013 for a then-world record £85m from Spurs.
Despite winning La Liga and three Champions League titles, the Welshman has never quite made the grade alongside Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema at the Bernabeu.
The winger has scored 76 goals during his time in the Spanish capital, but injuries and a lack of form have hindered his progress in recent seasons.
