It’s 6/5 for a Prem Champions League winner following midweek ties

Following fantastic results for the three Premier League sides in games this week, Coral make it just 6/5 for an English side to win the Champions League this season.
In the outright market for the trophy, Manchester City are the 3/1 favourites following Tuesday night’s commanding victory over FC Basel in Switzerland.
Real Madrid’s victory over Paris Saint-Germain puts them at 5/1 (from 13/2), while Liverpool’s 5-0 defeat of FC Porto has seen them cut from 16/1 to 10/1 to lift the trophy.
Meanwhile, Coral’s trading team make it 5/1 for an all-English final in Kiev – something this tournament hasn’t seen since Manchester United beat Chelsea in 2008.
Those commanding midweek wins for the Citizens and Liverpool were joined by an impressive 2-2 draw from Tottenham Hotspur at Juventus. And it’s now 11/2 for all five English clubs in the competition to reach the quarter-finals.
Coral’s John Hill said: “After a fantastic week for the English clubs in the Champions League, we have taken a flurry of bets for the winner to come from the Premier League this season.”
“Manchester City currently top the betting to lift the trophy in the final in Kiev but the big movers in the outright market this week have been Liverpool who were outstanding against Porto,” added Hill.
