Bet of the Day: Swansea to beat Notts County in goal-filled affair

Both sides know how to find the net

Swansea City are a new team under Carlos Carvalhal. They’ve climbed out of the relegation zone after taking eight points from their last four Premier League games.

They host Notts County in Tuesday night’s FA Cup fourth round replay, following a 1-1 draw at Meadow Lane. The Swans are looking for a fourth successive home win, having already beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal in South Wales this month.

Swansea to Win is likely to come good at 1/2, but with the Magpies always good for a goal, the best value could lie in the hosts triumphing in a goal-fest.

County have won just one of their last four league games, but have scored eight goals in the process. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Swansea to Win and Both Teams to Score at 23/10.

Swans’ form could make handicap appealing

While Notts are one of League Two’s stronger sides, the Swans’ recent victories over two of the Prem’s top six – as well as Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers – points to a fairly comfortable home win.

The Swansea -1 handicap at 5/2 looks a good call, especially with four of County’s league defeats this term coming by a multiple-goal margin.

The hosts have started games strongly under Carvalhal, leading at the interval in four of their last five games. The Swans to lead at half-time is 11/10, while Half-Time/Full-Time: Swansea/Swansea is a 27/20 shot.

In-form Ayew can do the damage

One man who’s thriving for the Prem side is Ghanaian hitman Jordan Ayew. The 26-year-old has scored in five of his last 11 outings, including a goal in the victory over Arsenal.

He has an especially good record in this competition, scoring goals in four of his last seven FA Cup appearances – including the opener in last round’s 2-1 defeat of Wolves.

Ayew to Score Anytime at 23/20 could prove popular. But with the forward having opened the scoring in two of his last six matches, the Coral News Team think the best value could be on First Goalscorer: Ayew at 7/2.
