All the best tips and odds for huge clash at Murrayfield

It’s a pivotal weekend in this year’s Six Nations with the third round of matches taking place.

England and Ireland are still on course for a St Patrick’s Day showdown, but both face massive tests this afternoon.

Ireland host Wales in Dublin first, before Eddie Jones’ England head to Murrayfield for the Calcutta Cup against Scotland.

The Tartan Army will be buoyed by their excellent win over France a fortnight ago. It’s often close in Edinburgh when these two clash, but England should edge it.

Scotland +8 on the handicap is Evens.

Scotland’s Calcutta woe to continue

England laboured to victory over Italy in their opener, and Wales kept them within reach at Twickenham.

And there’s a good chance Scotland will again stifle Jones’ men.  In just one of their last six visits to Murrayfield have England won by more than seven points.

Scots head coach Gregor Townsend is naming the same side from the one which prevailed over France. England are making one change with Nathan Hughes starting at eight.

Nevertheless, Scotland haven’t won the Calcutta Cup since 2008. England are 2/7 to win.

Looking at the winning margins could offer good value though, and Coral are 9/2 about England prevailing by 1-5 points.

Watson and May must be watched

Scotland will have to keep an eye on Anthony Watson and Jonny May.

The former went over twice against Italy while Leicester winger May proved crucial by getting behind the Welsh two times a fortnight ago.

May is 7/1 to be the first tryscorer of the game, with Bath ace Watson slightly longer at 8s.

It’s 5/4 for a May try anytime, and 6/4 for Watson to get in behind the Scots any point.
