Bet of the Day: Both sides to net as Man City host Leicester City

| 10.02.2018

Citizens and Foxes strong in front of goal

Saturday night signals a Premier League cracker, as champions-elect Manchester City host 2015-16 title winners Leicester City.

This fixture always seems to produce goals at both ends. Four of the last five meetings have seen both sides find the net – including a 1-1 draw at the King Power Stadium last time out.

The pair’s respective form suggests that streak will continue. Claude Puel’s men have scored in five successive games, chalking up 10 goals in total. As for Pep Guardiola’s side, they’ve netted in nine games on the spin.

Despite their outstanding form this term, the Citizens haven’t been rock-solid at the back of late. They’ve shipped at least one goal in seven of the last nine matches, including a 4-3 loss at Anfield. Coral’s Bet of the Day is Both Teams to Score at 20/23.

Belgian ace could play a big part again

City scored either side of the break in November’s 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium, with Kevin De Bruyne’s goal all-but-securing the points for the visitors.

The 26-year-old heads into Saturday’s meeting in superb form. He’s scored in three of the Sky Blues’ last four games. And that’s part of an impressive long-term streak, which has seen the Belgian register in nine matches since the start of November.

The Foxes are without a clean sheet in three games, so there’s every chance the former Genk ace will get his name on the scoresheet.

De Bruyne to Score Anytime is a 13/8 shot, while it’s 11/2 the Belgian is First Goalscorer for the sixth time this season.

First-half goal-fest could offer value

A rush of goals before the break has been a theme in both sides’ games lately. In their last five games, the Foxes have netted six first-half goals. But they also conceded twice before the break in their last away match – at Goodison Park.

Pep Guardiola’s men are also strong starters, netting before the break in nine games on the trot. However, they’ve also trailed to early goals against the likes of Bristol City and Liverpool since the start of the year.

First Half: Over 1.5 Goals looks good value at 23/20, while BTTS in the First Half can be backed at 18/5.

If you’re looking for a lively longshot, Man City to lead 2-1 at Half-Time looks worth a flutter at 14/1.
